University of Delhi

 The Delhi University or DU was founded in the year 1922. At that time, there are only few colleges in Delhi, India. When university of Delhi was established, it also has only there colleges with only two streams, Arts and Science. But today, it has more than eighty colleges.

But today, there is no shortage of universities and colleges all over Delhi, India. Still university of Delhi, is known to be one of the prominent universities in the country and is measured among the popular university of India with large number of students. Now it becomes pride of India as it renders standard education in different streams for many years. 

In today’s high competition, it is not easy for universities to gain ample name in the world of education sector. Dealing with the tough completion consistently, it adopt new patters of teaching which is based on e-learning and self-motivation.  It also has multi-campus concept. Its south campus initiated in the year 1973 with several postgraduate courses.  After that, east and West Campus was initiated. West campus was came with several professional degrees in Technology and Engineering.  

At present, the university of Delhi, offer wide range of degree courses, that includes: Commerce and Business Studies, mathematical science, International Discipline and Applied Science, Professional degree in Law, Medical Science, Economics, English Honours, Fine arts and Social Studies. However, the faculties of English Honours, Computer Science and Hindustani Classical Music are the most popular one.  Even the students from outside India come here for Hindustani Classical Music degree.  
 

As the University of Delhi render wide range of educational programs, it contain large number of student population. But still, it is able to handle all its work and offer the best services to all its students. That’s way it has number one position in India.

Not only in education field, it also supplies great result in sports activity programs. It is essential of students to take part in both, academic and non-academic activities. The colleges of university conduct very active sports events time to time to enhance confidence and activeness of their students. Moreover, the facility also offer chance to students to prove themselves in national and international sports programs.
 

DU or Delhi University also conduct a cultural Council to promote cultural activities with the name of DUSC (Delhi University Student Union). The objective of this department is to organize educational and awareness workshops and cultural events. The University also provide financial support to other colleges for cultural events.

DU also grand scholarships to talented students and those who can’t afford the fees. However, just like other universities it has some teams and conditions regarding the scholarship programs.
