Dilli Haat also considered as “Heart of Delhi”, is an open-air food marketplace where you will get almost all variety of Indian cultural traditions. Unlike other Delhi markets, the market is open all the days. It is located towards South of Delhi and it is very well-kwon venue of the city. The venue is mainly established to fulfill high demand of Delhi Tourism Corporation. From several years the market is successfully fulfilling the demand of craftsmen and artisans. The place also has benefited the tourists as here they get to experience the vibrant colors of the different states of India at a single location.

The place has been a brilliant success with respect to promotions of the art and crafts of the country. Tourists also get to savor foods from the various part of the country and also be a visitor to their performing arts. Visitors who are unaware from the Indian culture and art, the venue is the best place to learn and experience.  

The place is well famous on its own and thus reaching to the venue is very easy, regardless from where the person come from. However, it is better if you make desired search on the internet and collect information about neighborhood. This will help you in reaching the place easily. Dilli Haat is located near AIIMS also known as All India Institute of Medical Science.  

The venue has more than sixty specially designed stalls, where people can display their craft materials so that they can earn and get good profit. All the stalls are not permanent and available only on special occasions like Diwali, New Year, etc. Craftsmen have to book the stalls in advance if they want to display their items on special occasion. The stalls are allotted on the basis of the states the person belong to and given duration is usually fifteen days.

The market is always crowded and famous all around as the prices of items are very low and within the reach of common people. An exhibition venue in the market has series of exhibits ranging from attractive handicraft products to handlooms. The purpose of these events is to promote these items in the market. Dilli Haat, started in the year 1990s with the support and assistance of Government of India to enhance economical growth of the country.
