Anna University is a specialized college in Tamil Nadu, India. The primary college grounds is situated in Guindy, Chennai. It was named after C N Annadurai, previous Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 4 September 1978 . It turned into an affiliating college in 2001, engrossing all designing universities in Tamil Nadu. In 2007, it was part into six constituent colleges in particular Chennai (grounds), Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli and Tirunelveli. On 14 September 2011, the constituents were converged back to a solitary affiliating college for building schools in Tamil Nadu.
