ABES Engineering College

ABES Engineering College also called as ABESEC is a self-directed engineering college, located in Ghaziabad India. It is listed on the top in the list of best colleges of Ghaziabad and is based on values of spreading the devotion towards improved education of science which is reflected in the degree programs they offer.

The college is affiliated to U.P technical University, Lucknow and the apprentices can enrolled by clearing the state level entrance exam, typically referred as UPTU entrance or just UPSEE. Formally, the college was affiliated Mahamaya Technical University till 2013, when the two universities GBTU and MT were again combined and the college came under the jurisdiction of the recent university.

Ranking and Award

 With its constant hard work and focus on improved teaching standards now its name was recognized for Academic Excellence and awarded as “Star Performer Award”. The institution has been constantly ranked among the top 10 engineering colleges of Ghaziabad and such ranking has been approved by both government as well as private organizations.

Ranking 4th along with four other colleges, it get Star Performer Award for academic excellence for its B.Tech degree in the year 2009.

In 2009, the college also get Star Performer Award for academic Excellence for MBA category, ranking 1st in Uttar Pradesh along with other two institution.

It also get “Times Research Education Excellence Award 2010” for the title- the Best Engineering College in Delhi and NCR for the year 2010. 

Admission process

Like other universities, students have to clear entrance exam to get admission in degree courses. However, there are two different schemes to take admission in B.Tech.  Admission to first year of B.Tech is completely based on the state level entrance exam. Only 10+2 pass out candidates can apply for this entrance exam.

Students in the second year of B.Tech program can apply for admission by lateral entry. But there are specific terms and conditions to take benefit of this admission scheme. The student should have 3 or 4 year diploma with at least 60% marks from any college approved by U.P board of Technical Education.

Later, the college provide direct admission for unoccupied seats left after counseling.

Students seeking admission in post graduate courses like MBA and MCA programs must have bachelor degree. 

College Infrastructure

Spread in more than 60000 square meters, the college has about 75 state-of-the-art lecture auditoriums and about 5 seminar rooms furnished with LCD projector for lectures with PA system. The college also has three conference rooms and 1 big room which has huge seating capacity.

As most of the students needs residential space there are well-constructed hostels for boys and girls within campus with complete security and basic needs.

Big and up-to-date library of the institution has a rich collection of more than 1 lakh books with latest edition. Each and every student is provided library card with which he/she can issue book. The main purpose of the library is to minimize the need of purchasing expensive books.
