Description

New Delhi World Book Fair is a nine days fair starts from 9th January to the 17th January 2016 at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India. This book fair showcases array of national as well as international books of various categories like Science and engineering, History, Computer Hardware and Software, Medicinal and Pharmaceutical and many other. The fair will be organized by NBT with collaboration with ITPO.

<p><span>India, a country of proud, deemed as one of the greatest Asian learning centre. And when it&#8217;s come to scope and magnitude of what India has to offer, the first thing comes to the mind is &#8220;NEW DELHI WORLD BOOK FAIR&#8221;.&#160; </span></p><p><span>Over a period of 41 years, New Delhi World Book or Vishwa Pustak Mela, becomes the biggest book fair in entire South-Asia. </span></p><p><span>Organized by NBT (NATIONAL BOOK TRUST) in collaboration with ITO (India Trade Promotion Organization), the fair is completely supported by MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) and Government of India.&#160; </span></p><p><span>The NDWBF which was started in the year 1972 has been playing a majestic role of being an educational as well as a business hub.&#160; The fair was inaugurated by Sh. V.V Giri, the 4<sup>th</sup> Indian President on 18<sup>th</sup> March. It is said that Love, Music and Literature, unites people, irrespective of their religion and political boundaries. And what&#8217;s better than NEW DELHI WORLD BOOK FAIR. Parallel availability of it since 4 decades, it is a vital initiative which promotes reading habits and book culture in the world.&#160; </span></p><p><span>It is a place where Indian publishers can meet and interact with foreign publishers and talk about their books and ideas and can sealed the concepts of their books.&#160; The fair also provide an opportunity to publishers to buy books which these publishers are bringing with them. This is the ideal platform especially for small publishers who cannot go foreign countries to promote and publish their materials. </span></p><p><span>The fair always has a theme, like in the year 2014 the theme was, &#8220;Children Literature&#8221;. The theme was selected because the key objective of NBT was to inculcate reading habits in children. Every year many schools bring their students to the fair, since they emphasis on the key concept that student should bring near the books. &#160;</span></p><p><span>&#160;<strong>National Book Trust-Organizer</strong></span></p><p><span>National Book Trust, (NBT) is an Indian publishing house, initiated in the year 1957 as a self-directed body under the Ministry of Education within the Indian Government.</span></p><p><strong><span>NDBF 2015</span></strong></p><p><span>The theme of the last book Fair was Suryodaya: Emerging voices from North East India and the slogan was Books opening the mind. Doors opening the future. The guest of honour country was Singapore with Korea as the focus country. </span></p><p><span>Last year, it had a footfall of more than 10,000 lack visitors with 1100 Exhibitors and about 30 participating countries. The crowd at the World Book Fair 2015 was echoing the statement that though the technology has improved and the books are being digitalized, and there are varied means of gathering information, the fascination for books will never end.</span></p><p><strong><span>NEW DELHI WORLD BOOK FAIR (NDWBF) 2016<br /> </span></strong><span><br /> THE NDWBF 2016 will start from 14- 22 February 2016 at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.</span></p><p><span>The ceremony will begin on Sunday morning with inspiring speech of <strong>Sh. Baldeo Bhai Sharma</strong>, chairperson, NBT about a fair and in the honour the president of India &#8220;Pranab Mukherjee&#8221;, chief guest of honour. &#160;</span></p><p><span>This year, the fair has approximately 2,100 stalls, 1,100 participants from India and lots of other participations from 30 other countries. </span></p><p><span>At the closing ceremony of the last year, Chairman of NBT, announced that China will be the Guest of Honour Country for 2016 fair.</span></p><p><span>The decision is a great honour for us, added Mr. Yo. Jing, Minister and Deputy Chief of the Mission, Republic of China. He also said, &#8220;With co-effects of both countries, we are sure next year the fair will be highly successful.</span></p><p><span>So pull your socks &amp; get ready for this wonderful book fair because, if you lose the opportunity this time, you will regret it and will have to wait till next year. </span></p>
