Soldierathon Marathon

SOLDIERATHON is an extraordinary version marathon initiated in remembrance of the saints of Indian Armed Forces who made the preeminent forfeit for our homeland. The marathon will occur on eleventh March, 2018 in New Delhi (setting JawaharLal Nehru Stadium). It is a Road-running occasion which guarantees to be a staggering background where energetic energy and pride for the nation would take off high with interest from different groups and individuals extending from sports, altruistic, sports, social activists, media, veterans, military, paramilitary, police and groups of security forces.This occasion will comprise of Half marathon (21.0975 Km), 10 kms, 5 Km and wheel seat run. Soldierathon was a thought brought about by Major Dr Surendra Poonia,VSM in direction of previous President of India, the Late Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, who wanted to make mindfulness towards the penances made by our men in uniform and in the meantime help the Martyr families/kids and war injured troopers, who alongside time are overlooked by the nation on the loose. However, lamentably, Dr Kalam Sir didn't survive to witness it and Major Poonia has volunteered make this fantasy a reality. This occasion would give a chance to the conferred people and associations to raise finances and demonstrate their appreciation towards the genuine saints of our country. These assets would be used towards two activities: A store for war injured uncommonly abled/injured troopers to enable them to gain cutting edge prosthesis (simulated gadget that replaces a missing body part) that will empower them to lead ordinary solid lives. This piece of raised store will be given to Indian Army's ALC (Artificial Limb Center) at The Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and Paraplegic Rehabilitation Center, Kirkee, Pune.
