Description

A solo exhibition of paintings by Sunayana Malhotra - AHAM' 16, will embark you on a ride of woman’s journey that will reveal the unspoken truth and reality. Artist feels that female form is not glorified or portrayed to please any male voyeuristic attitude or as the media portrays it but it is of a real woman whose body tells of her journey from puberty.

In her recent works she has replaced the female form with the Lotus which has an equally effeminate feeling and portrays the different layers of a woman as a daughter, mother, lover or a wife that makes this exhibition more realistic and unique.

Come, visit and witness the dance of colours in the arena of canvas. Experience each stroke unraveling a series of stories. Dive into the profound sea of colors and rise triumphant.

You all are cordially invited to browse through the arrays of varied artworks and take home an enriching experience.

For me the female form is not glorified or portrayed to please any male voyeristic attitude or as the media portrays it but it is of a real woman whose body tells of her journey from puberty. To motherhood to her breast feeding days to finally menopause even though she camouflages herself a woman looks at her own self with disgust at the changes she undergoes and also uses it as a medium to seduce in my work you will always see alone woman standing. The woman also balances the world she creates as in ..her lover
