Dilli Gate, where our experience will start, is the southern gate of the historic walled city of (Old) Delhi, or Shahjahanabad. The gate hosts the Sunday Book Bazaar - a book lover's paradise quite literally where you will find editions from the back of beyond to explore through. Fiction or nonfiction, you'll find it all. You'll need me to help you find the right shops, speak to the shopkeepers, & bargain (for sure!) for you. After all, being a lawyer, this is pretty much my day job!
The entire street is covered with almost all the books in the world and prices range from INR 10 to INR 1000 so carry the amount you want to spend, no cards accepted here! Book shopping will be followed by a quick visit to Jama Masjid (this great mosque of Old Delhi is the largest in India) a short rickshaw ride away, and ultimately culminate into lunch at the famous Al Jawahar, a place which offers the best non-vegetarian food in the heart of Delhi!.
